Local Outreach

The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office partner to provide traffic safety education and outreach statewide. 

These programs includes impaired driving, occupant protection simulator, and distracted driving simulators.

About Christy

Sergeant Yokley is a native Oklahoman, born and raised in Midwest City. Christy graduated from Rose State College with an Associate’s degree in Secondary Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences education from the University of Central Oklahoma, and finally a Master of Education in Adult Education-Community Service from the University of Central Oklahoma. Christy began her career in law enforcement in 2000. While at the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, she began as a reserve deputy sheriff and worked her way up to a full-time deputy sheriff. Christy is currently a CLEET instructor, a certified driver’s education instructor, and a DPS-approved defensive driving instructor.

In February 2019, Sgt. Yokley was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to work with the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office as a statewide Traffic Safety Educator.

About Todd

Sergeant Todd Beesley is a native born Oklahoman. He grew up in the southwestern part of Lincoln County just northeast of Harrah. Todd's father was a volunteer firefighter for Southwestern Lincoln County Fire Protection District. When Sgt. Beesley was just the age of 12 he took a first responder class with his dad and the other firefighters. Todd joined the volunteer fire department on his 18th birthday. This was the start of a lifetime of public service.

Todd accumulated nearly 10 years of volunteer fire service and spent 1 year with McLoud Fire Department full time as the Assistant Chief and Public Information Officer. Todd has 18 years of EMS experience with EMSA OKC and REACT EMS of Shawnee. Todd began his law enforcement career with the Tecumseh Police Department as a reserve police officer. He became full-time certified in October of 2004. Todd has served as a deputy for the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office and as the patrol sergeant with the Kickapoo Tribal police. He joined the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office in 2014 and spent 3 and a half years as a school resource deputy at Rosary Catholic School. He was recently promoted to sergeant in September of 2019 and assigned to the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office.
